Originally posted to EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL site 10/10/13 – You’ll be seeing a lot of these archival posts from my days with EVIL DEAD to make sure they don’t get lost in case the original site goes down. Plus it is a bit of fun to stroll down memory lane…
They sure know how to do things at the Fright Dome! This past Thursday was the event’s Black Carpet grand opening event, and there were a slew of people in attendance! It was loud, rowdy, and crowded – just our sort of place!
In the heart of the insanity was EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL. We were invited to the event by NVSPCA, and were happy to be a part of it. We love working with local charities, and who doesn’t like a group that helps animals in need?
As the only horror-themed show on the Strip, this is one of the events that we are almost expected to make an appearance at, and having the NVSPCA involved made it that much more fun.
We met many fans outside the event and even more inside the Fright Dome once the doors were opened. It felt as though everywhere we went we were running into fans of the show – and that was awesome!
We enjoyed seeing many fans at the event, and are grateful to have been able to help NVSPCA by participating in the Black Carpet walk. If you are going to Fright Dome this year, go on Sundays if you can. Every Sunday a portion of the proceeds are going to NVSPCA.
We want to thank the organizers of Fright Dome for their generous support of NVSPCA, and congratulate them on another successful Black Carpet event.
We met a lot of fans, got a chance to hang out with several other KILLER guests like Sam Haig, and had a great time.
We hope to see everyone at Fright Dome next year!
Hey guys! Chris Palkow aka Sirc Michaels here. I wanted to reiterate that this is NOT my original story, but it IS something I give a crap about! I hope you find it informative and interesting! Leave your comments and share!
