EVIL DEAD Wins BroadwayWorld Award!!

This was originally posted to the Las Vegas EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL site in 2014. You’ll be seeing a lot of these archival posts from my days with EVIL DEAD to make sure they don’t get lost in the shuffle of the interwebs. Plus it is a bit of fun to stroll down memory lane…

The results are in and the fans have spoken! The hero with a chainsaw for a hand slices through the competition!

EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL was nominated in 5 categories for the 2013 BroadwayWorld Awards! We were happy to have been nominated at all, but to see us in 5 separate categories was very exciting! Going up against some of the largest shows and biggest names in entertainment, we had a strong showing in all categories but most exciting of all our very own Ben Stobber won the award for Best Lead Actor for his portrayal of Ash!

Other shows have massive budgets, the backing of a casino, and the marketing to dominate in such a contest. But we have a secret weapon that trumps all of that – our fans! That’s right. This wasn’t about pandering to critics, being in the biggest venue, or spending millions on advertising. This award’s outcome was determined by the voters – by you.

You got to have your say and helped turn conventional thinking on its head!

Thank you for voting, and for being so damned GROOVY!

Hey guys! Chris Palkow aka Sirc Michaels here. I wanted to reiterate that this is NOT my original story, but it IS something I give a crap about! I hope you find it informative and interesting! Leave your comments and share!
