EVIL DEAD fans ask us often about the minds behind the show – who plays what part, what are their names, are they single, etc. This week we are harassing Sirc Michaels (aka Chris Palkow)!

We used to keep everyone’s identity under wraps, for fear of encouraging stalkers. But now we figure it is time to let our freak flags fly, and we’ve chosen to expose ourselves!

To that end, the EVIL DEAD team has agreed to answer some questions that were posed to them to reveal to you a little about them, who they are, and if they’re on TINDER. Their responses vary from serious to silly, informative to inane, and we are happy to share them with you!

MEET SIRC MICHAELS (aka CHRIS PALKOW)
Director / Producer / Emcee
What is your name? What does it mean?
Sirc Michaels. It means “my mother hates me”.

What are you really bad at?
Speaking without using vulgarity. We are in the process of instituting a “vulgarity free workspace” and I think I am failing at it miserably. But I keep trying.

What is the one book you always recommend to people to read?
BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS. Of all the books I have ever read, this is the one that really turned narrative writing on its ear for me. Vonnegut is a genius.

Can you talk about some of the challenges in performing the show?
The biggest challenge is creating an environment that is engaging for new audiences but keeps regular-attending fans coming back for more. We reinvent the show about once a year to keep it fresh, and that can be a real challenge. Thus far, challenge met.

What award are you most proud of?
In 2014 EVIL DEAD won the WinWin Entertainer of the Year Award. This was for our charity work, which I believe is one of the greatest things we do as a production. I keep it on my desk to remind me to always give back to the community and always look for new ways to do so.

Any personal ambitions yet unattained?
I would love to write a full length musical. And a novel. Maybe both. Maybe a musical based on my novel.

Who is your celebrity crush?
Winona Ryder.

Have you ever met Bruce Campbell? What was the experience like?
Yes. Bruce is a great guy. He is very personable and gracious. Sadly, he did not sign my tits.

If there is one memory ingrained in your mind that you will always remember from the show, what is it?
When we were first moving to the Strip. My wife and I were in front of the theater and the sign had just gone up for the show. My wife took a pic with it. We were both so very proud and happy. That was a great day and is one of my fondest memories from the production.

What does your family think of you doing the show?
My kid likes it. He is a toddler and is in training to take over when I keel over. My wife originated the role of Cheryl in the show here in Las Vegas and would probably like to see me more.

If you could add anything you wanted to the show, what would it be?
Pyrotechnics and blood cannons that cover the entire audience. And since I CAN add anything I want, this may still be in the show’s future!
